DELIVERANCE AND HEALING
By PBS Ministries
Throughout Jesus’ life on earth, He went from synagogue to synagogue teaching, preaching and healing everyone. He showed love and compassion for the people and all who came to Him were healed. His healing ministry showed that Jesus is indeed the Son of God and that God has endowed Him with power and authority to heal every sickness and disease among the people.
The same power and authority was given to Jesus’ disciples and they too went about healing and casting out demons from the people. God’s healing power is still alive and available to heal us today. John 14:12 tells us: “ Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
Many today have testified that they were healed of cancer, sight was restored to some, the dumb spoke, the deaf heard and many other miracles were performed by vessels used by God.
It is God’s desire that all shall be healed for He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He said, I will take away sickness from among you, for I am the Lord that healeth thee. If you would only believe, you will see the glory of God. Family members, friends and doctors may tell you it is impossible for you to be healed, but with God, all things are possible. According to your faith, so shall it be.
Father, I thank you for healing every sickness and disease among your people in the name of Jesus. I command the afflicting spirit to leave in the name of Jesus. I rebuke the pain and discomfort in Jesus name. I command abnormality to leave in the name of Jesus. Father, you are our healer, you are our deliver and you are our restorer. You said if we have faith like a mustard seed, we can speak to that mountain and it will be removed. So I command diabetes to leave in the name of Jesus, I come against arthritis in the name of Jesus, I command every cancer cell to die in the name of Jesus, I rebuke the cataract in the name of Jesus. May healing spring forth quickly in your people and may their bodies be strengthened and be made whole in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Some of Jesus’ healing miracles are listed below:
Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy
When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2 A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
3 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. 4 Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
Jesus healed a man with Shriveled Hand
Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, 10 and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11 He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other. 14 But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
Crowds Follow Jesus
7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed. 8 When they heard about all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon. 9 Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him. 10 For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him. 11 Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” 12 But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him.
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman
Matthew 9: 18-26
18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.
20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.
23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, 24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26 News of this spread through all that region.
